The Toy Robots Initiative, or T.R.I., was developed by the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon university as a way to take over the world. No, that’s not really in their mission statement but I’m sure that’s what they were secretly thinking. As the site says: “The Toy Robots Initiative aims to commercialize robotics technologies for human-robot collaboration in education, toys, entertainment and art.”
Although most of the projects are pretty straight forwardly nerdy and techish some students did come up with Robot Improv. Really? Science and theater? I bet they got beat up a lot.
