Robots was released in 2005 by 20th Century Fox and features a myriad of different types of robot designs. If you haven’t already seen it, let me give you the little details and numerous reasons why “Mermaids” hearts Robots.
1. Well the robots is one of the reasons. After taking a random stroll through the bookstore, I stumbled across The Art of Robots. I fell in love with the art and drawings of the characters before even seeing the movie, especially baby Rodney. How can you not love a baby robot with big giant anime eyes?

2. This is another one of those animated movies with a big clusterf*ck of well known actors playing the characters. The voice credits include the names of Ewan McGreggor, Paul Giamatti, Jennifer Coolidge, Mel Brooks, Greg Kinnear and Natasha Lyonne.
3. Another “yay point” is the fact that the soundtrack of the movie includes a Tom Waits song. How cool is that? The is a scene in the beginning of the film that has Tom Waits’ Underground as the theme for the underground scrap meltal melting factory of doom.
